Aunt Cheri's Visit

My best friend and Kinsey's "Aunt" Cheri and family came to visit us in CO this week from FL. We were running around all week showing them the very best of CO! Kinsey had an awesome time with them, especially Cheri's kids Patrick (12) and Hope (7). Kinsey loved playing with Hope and treated Patrick like he was her personal jungle gym. She also really enjoyed holding their hands while walking and would reach out to them to grab their hands. We rented a mini van for the week to haul everyone already and Hope and Kinsey sat in the middle row next to each other and Kinsey loved that. She would look over Hope and make noises trying to get her attention.

Kinsey practiced her hugging and waving skills a lot this week as well as her climbing skills. She's getting really good at climbing up on furniture and can get up on our couch now. She loved climbing up on the couch, then climbing over Patrick who was sitting there, then sliding down and doing the whole thing over again! She was even climbing the seats at Red Rocks Amphitheater when we went there this week (this is funny to me because people "climb the seats" for exercise, so it was cool that Kinsey was doing it in her own way). Kinsey also got to do something new this week: she saw her first fireworks show . . . and she loved it! She was fascinated for a few minutes and then watched it off and on (playing with the dirt and rocks in between).
