More Emerging Skills

I forgot to mention last week that Kinsey is beginning to figure out how to operate zippers. On occasion she has unzipped her own jacket, but mostly she likes to play with the zippers on my jackets, sweaters and robe. She can pull it down on her own and back up if you provide some resistance.

This week we discovered two new foods that she likes - pulled pork and chicken nuggets!
She just continues to get better and better at chewing (although she still has setbacks sometimes where she acts like she doesn't know how and we have to fish food out of her mouth because she's not chewing it and acting like a chipmunk with it stored in her cheek.)

She is continuing to get into more trouble lately too - this week she stood up on her own once in the tub and once in her wagon. Fortunately, I was right there both times she did it or that could have been dangerous! She also stood up in her crib on her own again for the first time since we lowered the mattress after she figured out how to stand up in it a few months ago. 

And her other emerging skill is showing an interest in brushing her hair. Several times this week while getting her dressed on the changing table she has grabbed the hairbrush and put it up to her head and tried to brush her hair. Once she even got the bristles in her hair and brushed it a tiny bit. She sure is smart!

Anyway, I think that's it for this week, aside from just a couple of pictures:

I bought her a tunnel to crawl through - sometimes she crawls, but she also scoots through it. Stinker!
