Sunday was Mother's Day and we celebrated with Gramma and everyone else with lunch despite the crummy weather (SNOW!) and feeling crummy again too (I got sick again on Sunday and have spent the week recovering- again!) Anyway, Kinsey had a good day, but that was the end of our shortened visit with Gramma.

| We gave Gramma non-toxic nail polish so she could paint Kinsey's nails. | Kinsey didn't know what to think of it. |
This week we noticed Kinsey has developed another new skill - she knows how to turn doorknobs to open doors! Now she's more of a trouble maker than before! Although, recently she doesn't seem quite so confident about walking on her own. She will still do it for short distances to a person or piece of furniture, but she absolutely will not let you let go of her hand when walking now. I think we need to get back to practicing more again - we slacked off on it the last two weeks with all the sickness going around. Hopefully she'll get more confident again if we practice more.
Kinsey went to see the audiologist this week (she hadn't been since we did the sedated hearing tests last summer). We've been having some trouble with her hearing aid lately and sure enough, it wasn't working right. So we have a loaner right now and they're sending Kinsey's out to be repaired. They also told us that she should be wearing it on her right side for the best results (she's always worn it on the left).
Today the preschool classes at school put on an end of year program. They've been learning about how things grow and how caterpillars turn into butterflies so they did a cute little song about that. Kinsey was a butterfly, which apparently she chose. The kids were all up on the stage in the gym and the parents and the kindergarten classes were on the floor. When they opened the curtain and Kinsey saw everyone sitting out there, especially all the other kids, she got really excited and was talking up a storm (saying hi to everyone I'm sure!). It was so cute! Video 1 Video 2

| Kinsey planted a seed a while back and grew this bean plant. The teachers said she was really into picking out the seed and putting it in the dirt. |

| Yesterday we made little teacher gifts - "thanks for helping me grow." Kinsey helped me with the dirt. |
Kinsey only has 3 days left of school for the year, but she will be attending a summer school program. They offer this program to prevent kids from regressing over the summer and all the kids in her class and the same teachers will be there. It's only 5 weeks of the summer and only 2 days a week. Kinsey will miss 1 week because we have a vacation planned, but will hopefully be there the rest of the time.
That's it for this week, but here are some cute videos of Kinsey playing with her toys:
